Conclusions: Providing all measures that are reasonably practicable are taken, as listed in this assessment, the risk of transmission should be very low.

Potential Hazard: Use of electrical equipment, including laptop, pen drive, plugged in dataloggers

Probability and Type of Risk: Low probability. Virus present on surfaces of appliances. Risk of transmission of virus. 

Control Measures: (What actions can be done to reduce the risks?)

  • Surfaces of appliances cleaned with alcohol wipes before use
  • Table-tops sanitised before positioning appliances

  • Equipment used is general household items and can readily be replaced or substituted e.g. paper clips; laminated cards; straws; fabrics; plastic jugs; bags; boxes; spoons; beakers; coins; fridge and fridge magnets.
  • All equipment can be cleaned with anti-viral cleanser before and after use.
  • Table-tops sanitised before positioning equipment
