About Adrian

Adrian Bowden has run the Travelling Science Shows for over 20 years and taken shows to over 500 different schools.

A former Key Stage 2 Classroom teacher, he has also taught science at Secondary School and in Further Education. For the past 20 years, he has taught science to trainee teachers on the University of Manchester Primary PGCE course.

With his partner Sara, he continues to run numerous CPD courses for primary teachers (see their Primary Science CPD website here for more details).  Adrian has worked as an educational consultant for the BBC and has advised local museums and universities about engaging the public with science.

He is co-author of Essential Primary Science (Open University Press), a guide to teaching science in the primary classroom, which is now in its second edition.

Adrian has been awarded the Millennium Fellowship for his science work in schools.
